Admission to Graduate Education Programs

For further assistance, we invite you to complete our College of Education Graduate Inquiry Form in which the appropriate program will respond with additional program and admission information for you within 48 hours.

Requirements and Application Routing Information
Applications to programs in the College of Education are eligible for review when a complete application with required materials is received. Each college and program may set admission criteria and procedures beyond that of the Graduate School. The º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù Graduate School is the official admittance office for all graduate students across the College Park Campus. The contains criteria and policies regarding admission.

º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù's Graduate Application Process
The º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù’s Graduate School accepts applications through its EnrollmentRx application system.  To start a graduate application go to . Before completing the graduate application, applicants are asked to check the site for specific program application instructions.

As required by the Graduate School, all application materials are to be submitted electronically:

  • Transcripts*
  • Statement of purpose
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Program/Department supporting documents ()
  • Test scores (if applicable)**
  • Non-refundable application fee ($75) for each program to which an applicant applies
    *International transcripts: You must upload a scanned official copy of all previous degree transcript(s) issued in the original language with a literal English translation, and certificate and diploma.
    **Some programs may require GRE or MAT or Basic Skills exam reports.  Please check your .

The electronic submission of application materials helps expedite the review of an application. Completed applications are reviewed by an admissions committee in the graduate degree program to which you apply.   The admission recommendations from the programs/departments are submitted to the Dean of the Graduate School.  Thus, all degree-seeking applicants must be formally admitted to the º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù Graduate School. 

Information for International Graduate Students
The º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù is dedicated to maintaining a vibrant international graduate student community. The Office of  (ISSS) is a valuable resource of information and assistance for prospective and current international students.  International applicants are encouraged to explore the services they offer and contact them with related questions.

The º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù Graduate School offers admission to international students based on the academic information; it is not a guarantee of attendance.  International students recommended for admission will then receive instructions for obtaining the appropriate visa to study at the º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù which will require the submission of additional documentation.  Please see the for more information.
