Program Overview

The Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership - Language, Literacy, and Social Inquiry Specialization, Master of Arts (M.A.) program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of language, literacy and social contexts. You will be able to choose from three focus areas: Adolescent, Post-Secondary, and Community Literacies; Language, Education, and Society; and Literature for Children and Young Adults. Throughout the program, you'll participate in a research apprenticeship, work closely with faculty on current research projects and develop your own scholarly inquiries.
